#2 Best Company to Work For in NH

For the past two decades, Business NH Magazine has partnered with NH Businesses for Social Responsibility to seek out NH’s best employers. Companies completed an extensive survey detailing their benefits packages and workplace practices. An employee engagement survey, administered by The Employee Engagement Group, had to be completed by at least 50 percent of a company’s workforce.

After analyzing the results of the employee engagement surveys and employer practices, the applicant pool was whittled down to 19 winning companies. Bruce Mast & Associates organized tours of the 12 highest scoring companies to determine the ranking of the top 10. Executives and HR professionals served as site tour judges, interviewing CEOs, hosting employee focus groups and touring facilities. Here is a profile of one of the winning companies:

Top Employee Engagement Survey Measures:

Company Highlights: Quarterly bonuses given to every employee for 108 consecutive quarters (on average an employee receives an extra month of salary annually); profit sharing was 9% of salary in 2016; every employee receives four hours per month of paid time off to volunteer; every employee is given $50 during the holidays to give away as they see fit; no-lay-off policy; high performing employees can set their own schedule; employee appreciation activities in 2016 included WEI providing more than 1,000 movie sneak preview tickets for employees and their families, popcorn, drinks and photos with the movie characters; onsite gym and exercise classes; relaxation room outfitted with a reclining chair, shades, sound machine, warm blankets and cold water; chair massages twice a month; pet insurance.
