Manchester's St. Mary's Bank donated $3,200 to New Horizons For New Hampshire, Inc. in Manchester to help fund a computer-based volunteer and donation kiosk. The new system will allow New Horizons to more effectively and efficiently track volunteers and donations.

The Women's Business Center, headquartered in Portsmouth, donated over $500 to the NH Food Bank in Manchester with funds eceived from wrapping gifts at three NH Barnes and Noble bookstores.

The New Hampshire Commercial Investment Board of REALTORS (NHCIBOR) in Bedford installed new officers earlier this month including President - Arthur Slattery; President-Elect - Robert Anderson; Treasurer - Don Eaton; Immediate Past President - Tom Duffy; and Directors Steve Weeks, Dave Lefebvre, Matt Toolin, Dick Danais, Jason Craven, Ronald Penn, Chris Norwood, Gerry O'Connell, Bill Jean, and Jason Garland. The NH CIBOR membership also donated $1,000 to the Santa Fund.

Peter F. Burger, an attorney at Orr & Reno, PA in Concord was elected chair of the board of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce.

BAE Systems in Nashua announced that it successfully installed the Advanced Threat Infrared Countermeasures (ATIRCM) system on a U.S. Army CH-47D Chinook aircraft. The ATIRCM system is a laser-based, directable countermeasures system that protects helicopters against attack by missiles. The ATIRCM system and AAR-57 Common Missile Warning System enhances overall aircraft survivability against current and evolving threats. Its installation follows a series of rigorous qualification, field, and flight tests. The first systems were installed ahead of the Dec. 15 deadline for the Army's ATIRCM quick-reaction capability program.

Members of the Mortgage Bankers and Brokers Association of NH raised $800 and donated piles of warm clothing to Liberty House, a dry transitional house for honorably discharged homeless veterans located in North Hampton, during this year's annual holiday get-together in December.

Guy Woodland, senior vice president for the NH Association for the Blind in Concord, received the Thomas Caulfield Award at the annual meeting of the Northeast Chapter of the Association for the Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired. The Caulfield Award is awarded every other year to someone who demonstrates outstanding personal efforts in assisting persons with visual impairment to adjust to their disability and to attain responsible goals in their communities. Woodland has been with the Association since 1999 and is responsible for the oversight of the rehabilitation and education services.

The New Hampshire Liquor Commission in Concord is partnering with two marketing firms, Vital & Ryze of Manchester and Rumbletree of North Hampton to direct the Liquor Commission's marketing, communications, public relations and messaging strategies. Both firms will work together to improve the profile and ultimately boost sales at the state's 78 outlet stores statewide.
