Cadec Global, a provider of advanced fleet management products located in Manchester, announced that DeMoulas Supermarkets, Inc., operator of the Market Basket chain headquartered out of Tweksbury, Mass., has implemented Cadec's Mobius fleet management software for its private trucking fleet.

Three attorneys and the pro bono coordinator at McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, PA in Manchester, were honored for their service to the public at the NH Bar Association's midwinter meeting. Jack B. Middleton, president and senior partner in the firm's litigation department, received the Bar's Distinguished Service to the Public award. Recognized with Distinguished Pro Bono Service Awards for their efforts were: Eric Sommers, who focuses his practice on commercial disputes, including business, intellectual property, and computer and privacy matters, was honored for his work on the DOVE Project. Eric committed more than 100 hours to pro bono work in 2009; Beth Fowler, who represents taxpayers before the NH Department of Revenue Administration, the Internal Revenue Service and other taxing agencies, was recognized for her low-income taxpayer project; and Mary Jo Herman, the firm's pro bono coordinator, for her success in placing new cases, often on very short notice, with volunteer attorneys to handle them. Collectively, the firm dinated more than 1700 pro bono hours by lawyers in 2009.

The Concord Family YMCA in Concord presented a lifetime achievement award posthumously to the family of former Orr & Reno Attorney Ronald Snow at the YMCA's 157th Annual Meeting on February 9.

A grant from Lincoln Financial Foundation has enabled the Capital Region Food Program in Concord to make the first-ever January food distribution of its year-round distribution project. Twelve local social service agencies and area food pantries received two tons of non-perishable food purchased with the funds.

Measured Progress announced that Richard Swartz has assumed the position of senior vice president, strategy, products, and portfolio. Swartz will provide strategic leadership to the Dover-based company, with a special focus on developing products and services to improve teaching and learning.

Keene-based C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc., its employees, family of companies and business partners responded quickly after the earthquake in Haiti raising about $800,000 in cash and in-kind donations for relief and rebuilding efforts.

The Children's Alliance of New Hampshire, a research-based advocacy organization working on behalf of children, announced the addition of two directors to its board: Patricia Cantor, professor of early childhood education and former chair of the Plymouth State University Education Department from 2000 to 2009 and
Kenneth Jue, CEO of Monadnock Family Services from 1998 to 2009.

Lincoln Financial Foundation awarded $10,000 to Easter Seals NH to support a transportation program for individuals with disabilities, elderly residents, low-income families, immigrants, and others who lack accessible transportation to get to medical facilities, pharmacies, senior services, nutrition sites, the grocery store, and jobs. The grant will allow Easter Seals to grow its existing fleet of Special Transit Service vehicles as well as purchase scheduling technology to increase the number of rides available.

Exeter-based Seacoast Pathology, a division of Aurora Diagnostics, announced the launch of DermDX division, featuring an onsite laboratory to better service New England-area dermatologists and their patients. DermDx will offer diagnostic services for complex skin diseases and cancers, with rapid turnaround times for both routine and urgent diagnoses.

AutoVirt, Inc. in Nashua appointed Thomas Fraser to the newly created position of vice president of sales. Fraser will be responsible for developing and executing the global sales and channel strategy, establishing and directing the external sales force, and growing and overseeing the inside sales team.

Devine Millimet, a law firm in Manchester, announced that Karen S. McGinley, Esq., accepted an award from the Pro Bono Program of the NH Bar Association in Concord. The award was given to the Home Rescue Team, of which Attorney McGinley is the founder, which helps prevent families from losing their homes to foreclosure. The team consists of 46 volunteer attorneys, and the number of clients the team has served doubled in the past year. The award recognizes distinguished volunteer service in the category of "Innovative Project."

Bradford Networks, a telecom company in Concord, announced that it ended 2009 with record revenue, double-digit year-over-year revenue growth, a year-over-year bookings increase of 30 percent, more than 150 new customers, and several new channel partners.

Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green shareholder Kimon S. Zachos was honored by the NH Bar Foundation at its 2010 Midyear Meeting with the Distinguished Service to the Public Award. Zachos shares the honor, given for "career-long dedication to public service and more than 50 years of inspiration to the legal profession," with colleagues Jack B. Middleton and David L. Nixon. Sheehan Phinney is located in Manchester.
