This Week’s Spotlight: The LRGHealthcare Golf Classic, held Aug. 14 at Laconia Country Club, raised $53,573. Over the years this tournament has raised more than $1.1 million to benefit patients at LRGHealthcare. Proceeds from the 2017 Golf Classic will be designated for renovations to the Emergency Department at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia.


Riverbend Community Mental Health Center in Concord named Dellie Champagne and Constantly Pizza as its 2017 Champions for Mental Health. The awards are presented annually to individuals who have either personally or professionally been a champion for those with mental illness by advocating greater access to mental health services; contributing extraordinary time, talent or treasure to improving the lives of people with mental illness; and working to counter and eliminate the stigma and stereotypes that are still associated with mental illness.


Richard M. Parsons returned to Rath, Young and Pignatelli, P.C., a law firm based in Concord with offices in Nashua and Boston, as a senior government relations advisor in the Government Relations Practice Group. Prior to moving back to NH, Parsons worked for a lobbying firm in South Carolina.


Porsche of Stratham, an International Cars, Ltd. dealership, and the Porsche Club of America raised $2,465 for NH’s Make-A-Wish Foundation at its annual car show attended by 350 people.


Impact Monadnock, an early childhood development initiative in the Monadnock Region, merged with Monadnock United Way Impact Monadnockin July. Impact Monadnock was founded three years ago. The merger comes at a time when both organizations are focusing efforts in addressing similar needs in the region.


New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon promoted Steve Markos from VP of ticket sales and operations to VP of corporate sales, and Kristyn Galante from ticket sales manager to the director of ticket sales and operations. The Speedway also hired Hillarie Scott as the assistant director of the NH Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities through December when she will take over for the departing Cheryl LaPrade as director.


The American Red Cross elected to its NH/Vermont board of directors: Emile Anderson, a professor of math and science NHTI Concord Community College; Karis Callahan, a licensed independent clinical social worker in Nashua; Daniel Gray, an assistant VP and portfolio manager at Eastern Bank in Concord; Stephan Hamilton, director of the Municipal and Property Division for the NH Department of Revenue in Concord; Doug Indelicato, director of sales and marketing for Insurcomm Inc., a disaster restoration company in Portsmouth; Michael MacConnell, general manager of Vermont Sports Properties; Christine Nikola, state government sales manager at Esri, a mapping and spatial analytics software company with an office in Massachusetts; Christopher Rice, a founding partner of MMR in Vermont; Randall Roy, senior VP of marketing, underwriting and member services for Co-operative Insurance Companies in Vermont; Greg Soden, executive VP for Brown and Brown of NH; Suzanne L. Singer, marketing director at Scott-Farrar in Peterborough Timothy Stickney of Lincoln Financial Group; and Allison Trepaney, regional manager for MMG Insurance in Concord.


Federal Savings Bank in Dover promoted Barbara Graziano from Durham branch manager to assistant VP and Bank Secrecy Act officer. 


Memorial Hospital in North Conway elected Mary Vigeant, APRN to its board of trustees. Vigeant is a nurse practitioner at the Emergency Department at Memorial and joined their medical staff in 2004.
