New Hampshire Legal Assistance, a statewide legal aid organization, a $10,000 grant from Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation as part of the bank’s Targeted Grant program, which supports organizations working on behalf of immigrants in Massachusetts, NH and Rhode Island for 2017.


Meredith Village Savings Bank in Meredith promoted Eric MacDonald to VP and commercial credit manager. MacDonald joined the organization in 2005 and most recently served as assistant VP and commercial credit manager.


Satellite Agency Network Group Inc. (SAN Group) in Hampton, an alliance of independent insurance agencies in the Northeast, promoted Sarah Bassett to AccessPlus manager. In her new role, Bassett will assume responsibility for the daily management and oversight of the AccessPlus department, which assists member agencies with the placement of business.


Labelle Winery in Amherst is opening a new location in Portsmouth in late September at 104 Congress St., around the corner from The Music Hall. The Portsmouth location will be home to LaBelle Winery tastings, wine and gift shop, fine art gallery, LaBelle hosted programs such as The Winemaker's Kitchen Cooking with Wine Series, as well as private events.  


NH Hunger Solutions in Concord received a $5,000 grant from the Entertainment Industry Foundation and the Albertsons Companies Foundation, doing business as Shaw’s Markets. The grant is part of a charitable program, entitled “HUNGER IS,” designed to raise awareness and propose solutions to eradicate childhood hunger through the federal school breakfast program. NH Hunger Solutions chose the Woodland Park Elementary School in Dover to target their efforts. Woodland Park is one of many schools in NH where the school breakfast program is severely under-utilized.


The Wound & Hyperbaric Center at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth received accreditation from the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS). UHMS accreditation means that the Wound & Hyperbaric Center has met or exceeded the highest standards of care and patient safety through rigorous evaluation of its operations, including equipment, staff and training to ensure that quality is maintained within the specialty of undersea and hyperbaric medicine. Portsmouth is now one of only three hospitals in NH to earn this distinction.


C&J Bus Lines in Portsmouth expanded its New York City Service with the addition of service to Dover, NH. This new location will operate schedules daily between New York City, seven days a week beginning Oct. 10. The pickup and drop off location is at the C&J terminal on 23 Indian Brook Drive.


Ledyard Financial Advisors in Hanover appointed Douglas Phillips as a senior VP and senior investment strategist. He has more than 30 years of experience in the investment management industry serving affluent individuals and families, foundations and endowments. Prior to joining Ledyard, Phillips served as the chief investment officer of Foster Dykema Cabot, a registered investment management firm in Boston.


Ribbon cutting ceremonies at the Ridge at Eastern Trails in Milford were held on Sept. 30, 2017. The project includes 124 apartment homes in three apartment buildings and townhouse style dwellings. The project is being built in phases. The ribbon cutting for Phase I includes two buildings with 72 apartments. Phase II will be ready in the early spring of 2018.
