Jeremy Fischer of Drummond Woodsum

In the spotlight: Jeremy Fischer, practice group leader for Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights at the law firm of Drummond Woodsum in Manchester, was recognized by the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) as one of the top 40 bankruptcy, insolvency, and restructuring professionals globally who are 40 years old or younger as of Dec. 1, 2017.


Matthew Dunn was named medical director of the emergency department at Memorial Hospital in North Conway. He has served as a physician in the hospital's emergency department since 2014.


Jackie Whatmough has been appointed to the board of directors for Concord Housing & Redevelopment. She will serve a multi-year term as commissioner. Whatmough recently retired from the City of Concord after serving 15 years as the director for Concord Human Services.  


Cheshire Health Foundation’s sixth annual golf tournament raised more than $55,000 for Chesire Medical Center/Dartmouth Hitchcock’s health and wellness mission. This year’s tournament at the Keene Country Club included 120 players. Proceeds will be used to purchase Masimo, a remote clinical monitoring and notification system for all hospital general care patient rooms.


Joel Mercier was named executive director of Jean's Playhouse in Lincoln. The Auburn native is the producing artistic director of the NH Theatre Factory and reside staff of the Great Lakes Theatre and Idaho Shakespeare Festival. 


The NH Liquor Commission (NHLC) is the best liquor and wine control state in the country, according to StateWays Magazine. In recognizing NHLC, StateWays cited its record sales, warehouse innovation, commitment to offering unique and exclusive products, and its effort to renovate and relocate its 80 New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlets.


The Family Place at Concord Hospital has been recognized nationally for the excellent level of maternity services it provides. Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield presented The Family Place its Blue Distinction Award for Excellence in Maternity Care.The award recognizes Concord Hospital for consistently demonstrating expertise in delivering safe, quality, effective and cost-efficient maternity care.
